Barry Young Medal of Excellence

This medal commemorates Barry Young's outstanding swimming accomplishments and in particular the many NZ Masters Swimming records that he set.  

The medal is awarded to the individual swimmer that breaks the oldest standing NZMS record at a sanctioned event (in NZ and overseas) during the course of a calendar year.  Medals have been commissioned for 11 years from 2015-2025.
